Abstract


Water shortage becomes a worrying prospect for humanity, many technical solutions in the world and particularly in the Maghreb countries were brought of which that of desalination.  The production, storage, the transfer or the water treatment require the consumption of often fossil energy, therefore nonrenewable and polluting. To reduce the emissions of CO2 imposes an inflection on the evolution of consumption of fossil energies and a reflexion on the development and the use of renewable energies for the sector of water.  Thus like water, as a capital to be mobilized, to evaluate, manage and preserve, energy seems the major stake well this 21nd century for all the countries in world.
